I'm grateful that I got to see and take a small part in a lot of fellow Jedi be there for one of their own in distress. I'm glad to be part of a community like this :)

Damn...it sure would be awesome to be able to all be at the same place at once, shake each other's hands, see each other's faces.

Video calls just aren't the same, lol

sometimes amidst the tumult, it seems hard to find things to add here. but i think most of all, i am grateful for the jedi calm that infuses me, guides me, gives me pause before action. without it, some days would be much more murderous than others.

Sometimes writing out the things that are annoying you can allow you to better examine them and realize just how petty they are. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to do so and thus be able to just let it go.

I'm grateful for days like today when the fog of depression isn't quite so thick around my head and I can think about other things other than how miserable things are.

I'm grateful for days off because, by the Force, my feet needed the rest!

I'm grateful for all the co-workers, supervisors, and friends who are supporting me as I begin my grad school journey.

I'm grateful for this community which, despite its flaws, manages to be a place I want to keep coming back to.

Today I am grateful for:

My fiance for always encouraging me
The Quaker group for being friendly and supportive and never asking why I haven't been
Jestor for being my sounding board
Alex for always giving me sensible advice

And lastly, for me managing to get the right information out of SPSS the first time without panicking that I don't understand.

It won't let me have a blank signature ...

Today I am grateful to my friend whose current experiences are challenging my own perceptions.
Hearing things 'from the other side' has opened up my mind to something I can now see I was very closed minded about.

My girlfriend is bloody amazing! After all the drama and heartache, all the loss and hope and pain, I've finally found someone I just want to spend a long, quiet life with. So in love.

Eastern Washington had a rather impressive wind storm on Monday. There are over 100,000 people without power in Spokane, where I live. Everyone on my team at work does not have power, except me. I am so very grateful that we did not lose power in that storm.

A dialogue from a class I just finished. It was about all-or-nothing thinking as it relates to physical and cognitive rehab.

Me: "How would you address a love done who was unwilling to begin because they did not expect to be perfect in the end? What would you say to that person?"

My Client: "Try. Please try."

Me: "Why? Why should I?"

My Client: "Because I love you."

Stunned silence in the room. It was a beautiful little moment of sincerity.
