Nice work. The handle is very cool.

My grandfather made wooden spoons and other kitchen utensils. They were longer than the image above because they were for pot-stirring and not eating. Once, he made me a baseball bat from scratch. He was famous in our little village in Western New York for his hand-made wooded duck decoys. He always seemed to be working on one or more for someone who had asked for one, he was diligent about making it in good time, and never took any money for them.

When my mother was angry about some infraction my sister and/or I had done we would be threatened with "the wooden spoon". She never used it on us but it was understood that when that threat was uttered she was very serious.

So are Analyse and Brenna UK based? I'm in the UK and though I'm interested in all of this due to our laws regarding knives and other weapons generally I've never really explored it. Just wondering what you guys do etc? (Or anyone else that may be UK based)

Just thought I'd share a video of a Father Son Bush crafting outing.
I thought it was nice.

yeah that was fantastic
i like how he gave the boy tasks and sort of helped in real minor ways but mostly just let him do them

a lot of people ive noticed have a hard time just letting others learn by doing on their own

thanks for sharing

Have you ever tryed to make crossbow arms out of carban Fiber?

But yes, i can hit something the size of a street sign at 30 meters. Though i would call the reliability of that to be at around 40%

So far, I have successfully started fire with every "element" (whether Classical or Wu Xing) except water. It's next on my list.
My favorite method, however, is the fire piston.

Huge fan of Dave Canterbury. Spent a few nights just watching his videos on youtube. My favorite video from his that I put into practice is the slingbow. Using a couple rubber bands and a key ring, a slingshot can shoot full length arrows. Also made three breakdown arrows. Those arrows I made use a third joining shaft, not yet tested, but also looking into the versions with inserts and all-thread rods. Slingbow is definitely my bug out essential.
