I agree and I disagree. Eating too many calories means you gain weight, yes, but there's so much more to it than that. To gain, lose, or maintain your weight eating healthy, exercising, and drinking enough water are all important. Your muscles are your furnace. They help boost or slow down your metabolism depending on how much muscle mass you have. Water, it's important and if you don't drink enough of it you won't lose weight (if you want to) and you won't be healthy. Eating good foods is a no brainer. We hear all of this constantly. All it takes is a little common sense...not a study.

Of course, my explantion is overly simple too. Age, stress, hormones, etc. all play a part in how your body functions. Just listen to it and give it what it wants. You'll be happy and healthy...unless it's asking for heroine. :huh:
