Nightmares caused by paranormal entities

Many paranormal investigators tend to ....open themselves up for trouble. Most want to experience something so badly that they leave themselves open to attentions. It's possible that you've invited something in. Or it could be that a ghost is an image your subconscious knows you'll pay attention to and is offering that to you. Write down what it tells you, maybe there's a common thing something wants you to pay attention to. I would also take the time to shield yourself before you go to sleep.

Sleep paralysis is a medical condition that happens to enough people that makes it if not COMMON, but not unknown either. It's happened to me once before. I swore I was awake and a being I couldn't see had my daughter and was holding and spinning her in the air while I was helplessly unable to move because I was pinned down by something I couldn't see. I was so disoriented when I actually DID wake up. I think I believed it happened for several days it felt so real. Now I think it was just sleep paralysis. I think I read an article that it typically happens to nearly everyone at least once in their life.

i've yet to experience it firsthand....wouldn't mind though just to see what it feels like...

that is why i feel that anyone that studies the paranormal should also study science and medicine...and vice versa...it gives you a deeper pool of knowledge to draw from when seeking to explain the unexplained....

I would say... examine all the non supernatural possibilities before jumping to a conclusion.. nightmares are normal and common things to have and even though the feelings may feel supernatural, they may in fact just be a normal response to your day to day feelings.

There are a lot of possibilities McYeke. Honestly I would look to the mundane first. For two reasons. Many times it's with us that the nightmares are born. Secondly, even if it's NOT, without a solid foundation to plant your feet, you cannot give battle to much of anything, mundane or supernatural.

Examine yourself first. I follow a path where I regularly speak to spirits and they sometimes make themselves known in this world as well as the spirit ones. But I have to ensure what I am seeing isn't just my eyes playing tricks on me (which happens often lol) or is a spirit trying to catch my attention. If I jump to spirits before I check my facts, I'm spinning my wheels trying to fight/talk to/work with something that's not there and not the problem. It doesn't help anything. Most of the time the issue lies with me. My nightmares are my own. It's a problem I need to address. I need to work. The ONE time my nightmares were caused by something else, they were still my own fears it was awakening. And I couldn't help myself until I addressed those fears.

I don't want to mean that there are not 'supernatural' things out there. I don't want to sound discouraging and without doing a lot of work, I can't tell you what it is you're facing. It's just my experience that vast majority of the time, I am causing my own problems That's where I would start if I were you.

I've had sleep paralysis about 4 times only; got visited by an angel (I bit it, though it was probably a mutal kiss), touched (pushed out against) an alien who was trying to move my body, surprised and caught out a succubus in the act who jumped at my throat when realized it had been busted. Each time the body is motionless, but with the alien one I was able to free a hand and 'felt it' LOL. I also tasted the angel, energetically for about 15mins after I woke up as my teeth, jaw and head was buzzing.

Spoooky stuff, but I have strange dreams too so its not hard to imagine the mix of familiar waking perception overlaid with dream content would appear hyperreal - it is strange that all the content is very classical. I'm not into aliens, angels or succubi generally speaking.

I fix nightmares by using lucid dreaming to recast their energy/presence into something benign. I've tried taking 'spirits' into space to die, into the pit of hell to burn in pain etc. But they just get sneaky. The best things IMO is to just develop your emotional and spiritual strength and so by relishing the confrontation with them as spiritual exercise you'll probably sooner or later either become stronger then it, or dissipate that particular avenue of representation (depending on what one believes).

IMO their only power is in how you react, which of course is up to you. I have not seen physical manifestations of ghosts ever though, so I cannot comment on that order of supernatural phenomena.

i've been told that my presence can be stifling/intimidating....i have noticed that any events that occur around me cease once i begin to expand my barrier, other events cease when i reel in my energy....

as has been mentioned by others though, explore all the mundane possibilities before settling on anything paranormal....

if it turns out to be the ouija, then you need to find the original board you used and close the portal, then seal the board...there are other methods that can be attempted, but closing the portal and sealing are the best option...

as an aside i've tried using a ouija several times in the past and it never worked for me...i was told it wouldn't work for me if my energy was too high (spirits get suppressed by strong energy) or if i didn't believe in it...the power of belief is strong...admittedly i was skeptical of the boards ability...
