TOTJO's First Ever Fund Raiser Auction

We have had an item donated and it was suggested by Kamizu, to have an auction, to raise some funds for TOTJO...

Any funds raised will go into the TOTJO general fund for the time being, which pays for the site fees, and any upgrades that are done...

Keep your eyes on this thread for more information, as I am working my way through the eBay setup, having never sold anything, only purchased...

I hope to have the items up and listed in by the end of June (that is only 5 days away) and run the auction till July 15th...

As to the "what we are auctioning, a picture (or two) is worth a thousand words, so here is some pictures, and a quick description by Kamizu...

The large is 6 3/4" or 17cm, the small is 5" or 13cm

These plaques are hand made (except I bought the wood blanks) out of pine wood. The Temple of the Jedi Order's emblem was burned in it. I read out loud each meaning to each part of the symbol before I started on it, and reflected on the meanings as I burned that part into the wood. It was then colored with an ebony stain and then sealed with a semi-gloss finish. Each was signed and dated by the artist on the back (although parts are hard to read because said artist got stain on it.....)

I made these items with the intent of them being a focus or reflection in meditations. They'd go wonderfully on an alter or hung on a wall. I can put wall hangers on them by request (Will add a few days to shipping time)

Being very far away from America, I would like to know potential shipping costs please, because I am aware that I often end up paying more for shipping than the item I bought!

I forgot to mention in the details that the white part of the emblem was left the natural pine wood color. So you'll see the woodgrain throughout them

Actually you don't need to worry about shipping prices. eBay figures that out itself.

Yes, it's like, three times the starting bid? Let's just send Kamizu to china, it's significantly cheaper to ship from there than from next door for some reason.

If people can put up with the hoop-jumping, then we could mail them to someone who intends to visit the UK and they bring it with them and we sort it from there. A more complex process no doubt, but it would probably be significantly cheaper.
