Sadly the situations change when its actually real.

However. The idea is good. I've always said boxing/MMA is a an important first step to martial arts. I wish I had the option to do it as a kid. Unlike classes like Karate and Tai Quan Do.....Boxing and MMA teaches you how to take a hit and handle unexpected/non rehearsed scenarios.

heres the original article

https://metro.co.uk/2015/05/20/female-kickboxer-choked-sex-attacker-unconscious-after-he-assaulted-her-on-her-way-home-5206569/

Warning: Spoiler!

i didnt want to post it because the article incorrectly suggest thatthe woman used kickboxing skills to fight the rapist

i dont know if she is a kick boxer or not, but she used jiujitsu techniques in this situation.
first she tried an arm bar but he managed to get his arm free so then she used a triangle choke and choked him unconscious. she could have chopped off his balls while he was out if she wanted to lol

jiu jitsu works in real life, even against people who are bigger and stronger. its not a magic bullet, it takes a lot of work and a lot of dedication, but its the real deal and there are hundreds of videos and news reports that demonstrate it

matter of fact, heres another - dude tried to rob a woman who knew jiujitsu in brazil and she held him till the police arrive

she has him in whats called a reverse triangle and shes also got (i think his right arm in) an armbar

you can hear hims screaming for god and his papa to help him lol

i hope youre able to train some jits some day Triskar, i think youd like it

Of course goals change what martial art is the "best", personally I am skilled at Tai Chi as a combat art, but Krav Maga gets you combat ready very quickly whereas other forms take years of practice to be nearly as capable. Also, Krav Maga classes, at least around my parts, are a great workout.

China is going nuts over this fight: Traditional Tai Chi master vs MMA fighter.

the mma guy has been saying that 99% of tai chi masters are fake and cant fight. a tai chi master stepped up to prove him wrong!
