When we look at the fiction a few things would suggest the opposite because of their political entanglement: By serving the Republic as generals, diplomats, and agents of state power, the Jedi lose moral independence. Their role in the Clone Wars—leading armies and executing wartime policies—blurs the line between peacekeepers and military actors.
How is that as a real life Jedi? Well in our doctrine it is clear that we have to abide by the laws of the place we live in. When we take a look at the different people that we have in the Temple and all the different jobs they have, it's easy to judge each other on what they do in real life and question if what they are doing is considered morally justified. But that is just as it is , like I said , other places have other rules. Jedi are keepers of the Peace and with a community that has so many people from all around the world it's mostly a good idea to look at eachother with a more objective eye and find a middle ground.
From the 21 Maxims
18. De-escalation - Between uncontrolled escalation and passivity, there is a demanding path of responsibility that we follow. Whenever we perceive monsters we should see to it we do not become monsters ourselves.
Is that always possible? Off course not , after all , as much as we would like to be a Stoic or someone who looks at every angle, when your country is at war with my country our position shifts and we need to keep a clear head and assume that the other Jedi on the other side of the fight is willing to make the best of it and be of service , just like you are.
Moral ideals vs. flawed execution:
Like I said , we are just mere humans trying to make this world a better place. It might be that you don't like what other Jedi do in their real lifes , be that they are in the army or have an occupation you deem useless. But remember every little chain in the complexity of life is important. We try to make this world and the Temple a better place , for that we need to communicate , be ready to help each other and try to forgive each other's flaws. You don't always have to be nice and discussion is much appreciated , but you should be Kind, to yourself and others.
