Once you have advanced through a few lessons a sponsor will contact you. Either they will be assigned to you, or one may request that they become your sponsor from the IP Team Lead. They will then contact you about the sponsorship and give you some feedback from time to time. (at least, that's how it worked when I was in the IP Team, don't imagine it's changed)

At the moment I have JosephCrawley, ReallyRiver, and Jag1993 (the latter two are on break) and I've chatted a bit with Twigga (sorry Brick)

Sorry my medication had kicked in before I whole this. I believe I meant when will know about who our sponsor is or if we have a sponsor.

How does one get a sponsorship? Is it by chance you get one or .... idk

Generally speaking, we aim to contact you once you've made a few posts in your journal. Obviously, there are far more Novices progressing with the IP than there are Sponsors (and some Novices don't want a Sponsor).

If you don't currently have a Sponsor, but would like one, then you can PM either myself or one of the other guys above

A sponsorship is like an informal and more relaxed apprenticeship, temporary for the term of you doing the IP. they give feedback as needed, and check off the lessons done, give comments on room for expansion. They're usually assigned, but you can ask a sponsor to watch your progress if you want. You usually have to complete a lesson or two before one is assigned to you.

Thank you, I was wondering the same thing too about how we get a sponsor.
