The Grateful Thread

Around this time every year, I normally go through about a week of pollen-allergy before I get accustomed to it being in the air... that was irritating me for a good part of the evening yesterday, but today I can breath through my nose just fine, and my eyes aren't watery. It may come back, but for now, I'm grateful just to be able to function. :laugh:

I am grateful that I have everything that I do in my life. I have a place to live, a good paying job which I enjoy and excel in, good side work, a passion, friends, and family who care about me. Life is good and I should breathe and de-stress about the little things.

I'm freakin' awesome.

I am grateful for the friends I met in school... only they would know me well enough to buy me things that would have a perfect place on my altar. And they never judge...

I am grateful for my grandfather, whose 81st birthday is tomorrow.

I'm grateful for the wonderful medical staff at Seeschau clinic for taking excellent care of me.

I am grateful I have people in my life I can be silly with and laugh uncontrollably with and who see the wonder with me of being alive
They teach me so much

I'm grateful for the people who not only tell me but show me what i mean to them by their presence in my life day to day, and for the courage they show of opening up to me and allowing me to open up to them, regardless of what may or may not come from it. It's a personal adventure that I feel is crucial to our journeys, and it gives each other all the more meaning when we take that leap and allow it to happen for us to grow.

Today I am especially, specially grateful that I met my wife 18 years ago, that we got together 15 years ago and that we have been married for 10 years as of today! She has the patience of a saint, a heart of gold, and fortunately for me, she does tolerate fools gladly!
