The ScottHughes account was banned for valid reasons, I checked after I realised the account was banned a few days ago (before JediEido's account was ever created)

Thanks for letting us know Arisaig. What's the process for going about checking the reasoning for a ban please, so I can let enquirers like JediEido know in the future?

You can message any of the mods/admins/security and ask. They may not be able to supply a full answer, but if you ask nicely they may be inclined to give you enough to put your mind at rest. :)

This approach seems appropriately compassionate, in as much as it prevents the "name and shame" methodologies of which I am not a fan. The only other case of a ban I know of was handled differently, but that was probably due to the volume of enquirers.

Both JediEdo and ScottHughs are the same user based on what I can see behind the scenes the user is banned due to spamming posts that we had to remove and holding dual accounts.
