List of Clergy Persons at TotJO

As part of on-going updates to the articles on the website I have created a list of clergy persons at TotJO article

This lists members of the clergy in a similar manner to the list of Knights and the list of Councillors

This can be edited over time to remain up-to-date with the ranks and positions of the clergy here at TotJO

Any people who spot something incorrect that needs changing or something that needs to be introduced, it can be done in this thread (and a PM sent to me if you want to be sure I'll see it )

The article is open to suggestions for improvement if I think they make sense in the context

Please feel free to comment and ask questions here

In all honesty if changes to anyone's rank or status become necessary I'll probably know about it before you do and change it myself...

I've been maintaining the other list so it would be pretty pointless for me to change that and not change this one at the same time...

Oh, and also...Damion is not a Bishop yet. Changes to the lists should be made after the formal ceremonies, rather than upon notification of the ceremony.

However, in this instance I don't mind if you want to leave him there as a Bishop, as I imagine that the ceremony will be fairly soon and it'll only have to be changed back again afterwards.

Yes changes should be made after formalities have been performed

I was randomly browsing temple and I noticed I couldn't find it... does it exist and I'm so dumb I couldn't find it or is it removed?

This list is up-dated, we just haven't made it into a nice, accessible page yet.

There were some reasons why this particular page has not yet been revised. (I'm not going to go into that here ... )

And by the way, the list isn't up dated,...

Alexandre Orion (Deacon) -> Alexandre Orion (Bishop)
RyuJin (Deacon) -> RyuJin (Priest)
MCSH -> MCSH(Deacon)

Also Akkarin and Alexandre Orion should be moved up from Ordained Ministers - may provide counsel and confessional conversations to Cardinals - these are Ordained Ministers who are also on the Council and MCSH should go from Licensed... to Ordained...

The article does exist, but like I was telling Jestor the other day about a few of the other articles, there is just no way you can view it unless you either have the URL or article manager access (I'm not sure who does or doesn't have that). It's under 'My TotJO'.

I can update that later today, but we need to make the link available.

If you look at the bottom of the page we have the four lists and I think it would be good if we had a link under 'Help' to 'Clergy' which would link to that article.

I'll update this 'who to go to for help page' with some additional information as well.

Another thing that needs addressing is that we can't have people on that list who aren't actively actually helping i.e. people who, for whatever reason (time etc), can't actually be around to provide spiritual counselling.

Give me a day or so and I'll update it a bit so you get an idea of what I mean and then we can look at changing it from there.

The Cardinal rank no longer exists...

We are promoted to bishop, but not just for joining Council...

There are many outdated posts... lol...

Things change fast, and the reason why when they (whatever: rules, thoughts, opinions, etc)are written down, they have begun to be outdated...

Time will march on, and the words will not...

Actually, I believe Akkarin already maintains the Knight list, but the council list is old...

Right I see now, we have two separate articles for each, one under 'Information' and the other under 'About Us' categories, I have only ever updated the 'About Us' ones.

It doesn't make sense to have both, I'd rather unpublish the duplicate articles in the 'Information' page if that's alright. If people ask us about the dead links we can simple provide them with new ones.

I didnt realize there was two either....

It would make sense to unpublish one, and direct all 'contact council here' links to one article...

When I was an apprentice I could wrote articles but they needed to be published. After being promoted to knight I have access to article manager, but I'm not sure if I can publish things, never tried it.

Sorry, I was un-clear there, Sajjad.

I didn't mean that 'this' was the up-dated list ; I meant that we have a current list whereby we know what everyone is doing now. It just isn't accessible on the forum.



However you guys go about organising the presentation of these things is fine with me. Yet, as it has been pointed out, we probably should try to be a little more vigilant about getting rid of or at least rectifying pages that have incomplete or obsolete information.

or set up a redirect? that way both links work, but you're still only actually using one page.
