Chronic depression, anger issues and chaotic behavior have always plagued me. Even now ironically as I’m trying to become a psychologist these issues run through my mind. Hate, pure and unadulterated: everything a teenage boy pretending to be edgy pretends to be but for real poors from me and I absolutely hate it. These issues have always been connected to society on an archetypal level and I’ve been trying to correct my behavior and mental state for some time now, but their are so many issues on that level I have yet to face, so I thought it would be useful to ask the community how they deal with these archetypal generalizations which I will define as I name them.

-The feminine - The good and rarely talked about bad and ugly of women and more feminine spheres of thought like organic argumentative appeals through the pathos (emotion)

-The Demon- Every inappropriately violent & harm filled thought in your head. These can even come when your not angry and just casually think of committing violent acts towards others randomly. This generalization encompasses motivation from resentment/jealousy, immature concepts of “unfairness” and anger.

-The Fool- Every bit of inappropriate self hatred, self doubt and self demonization/dehumanization that ultimately also leads to a dehumanization of the world around you. Frequent statements of saying “I hate my life” or “I hate the world” and often trying to mask this through comedy.

Your responses will also benefit you so I don’t feel like im wasting your time by posting this.

Ps: this techniquely falls under psychoanalytical theory as it posits the existence of sub-persona of the ego (self/identity)

Well, I try to remember that just because it pops into my head doesn't make it so. I try to remember a feeling is not a cause. Meditations on re centering to the here-and-now help with this. It might be of note than some chemical imbalances(which occur for a variety of reasons) can lead to some of these symptoms becoming overbearing. If personal efforts fail, therapy or medication can be pursued.

I don't subscribe to them, and think they have merit as well founded in our population more from being entrenched, accessible and reinforced social constructs. If entertaining the areas of deeper psyche I instead work down biological evolutionary pathways... where more simple lifeforms serve as examples of similarly evolved but much simple cognitive systems, and therefore operating at likely a more primal set of objectives.Though, that is a deep topic which does not really impart much on my normal life.

But one of the things which I like to do though to examine my inner flow of energy, is to exercise my experience of the passage of time. Whilst it is a meditative focus, it is quite simply moving (the body) and perceiving (everything) in different rates of slower motion then normal. Not doings things slow, as that would just disconnect the motion from the thought, but instead teasing that focus on the now out, by gradually changing the rate of movement and thought to open it up and relax it - like stretching a rubber band. Since most of us are flat out busy all the time rushing we are already doing the same thing without noticing but trying to speed it up, so deliberately trying to slow that down could let us reconnect to the order and disorder in how we relate to thoughts and feelings. It's probably what Taoists do with internal martial arts, things like Qigong is not just moving slow, but operating the whole being in slower motion to enable better connection, balancing and re-energizing in the most efficient and effective manner. A more 'applied' version of those approaches IMO can be found in Kashmir Shaivism in how they understand Turya.

First : if you feel a need or the need seek good council and professional help, please do. We are not licensed anythings or therapist. I can only share with you what - in my path I have found. What happen with me and my own findings.

There came a time in my life when I became aware of the sickness . The book of change ( Tao de Ching) has a saying ... when the sick become tired of the sickness ... then they can stop being sick. (I'm not quoting directly but there are many many difrent ways to say it) *theres a copy in our library - feel free to look it up!!!
My own personal view will differ from most and every one will have their own practice and view. In my own practice- there is no contest . I share in hopes it can help or even shine a small ray of hope for some one as some one did for me.
To identify without attachment. This practice differs from person to person but to be able to identify these types of things without placing blame or even feelings can be a big help as a Jedi.

How we speak.... I changed a lot by speaking better. How my "sword" was used and what color it flowed helped this. How I spoke was horrible. I changed my speech and that's where it started for me. Like I said it difrent for every one but I stopped using common words like labels ... labels like black white ... race ... gender ... I started saying ... person... human... this began for me to see a lot differently. It began to change the way I think too. I began to see a lot of the labels and realized ... some keep us in a strange blind hate. ( the sickness I saw) we as Jedi believe in the inherit worth of all... that means sometimes the other person is as valid as me. You are just as ... wonderful and have the same potential as my son- daughter - wife or the stranger at the bar and ... me. This small light can change your speach and even your way of thinking. What we put in our minds will come out. As a man thinketh- also in our library. A shorter more easyer read... states our garden in our mind yields what we plant . What comes out is what we put in. Flat out . Unused to speak like junk and think of things ... fairly ... un real- I found / I was putting it into my heart by what I -saw heard - music - watched read - who I hung out with - where I frequented.... long story short : put a snake in a box and when you open it you got one pissed off snake... don't get mad when you open it. My encouragment is to find that which you want and plant it in your heart and mind . Think on those things. Grow them and whatbwill blossom will be truly what your effort has made. Pm me any time or Skype me or contact the clergy if you ever feel the need for confidentiality . May the force you and me seek and find us as we both seek it !
