Proper way to address those senior to you?

I was wondering as to the proper way to address those senior to you? I've just recently joined, so I am the lowest of the low, and don't want to offend anyone of high rank by not speaking to them in the proper manner.
For example, in the Catholic Church, you refer to a priest as Father or a nun as Sister, but not as Bob or Kate. Would I refer to those with the status of Knight and above as Master, even though they are not my Master? Any guidance on this matter would be much appreciated.

Seriously, there are official titles, but most of us are just here for the comunity and eachother. And we are usually pretty relaxed when it comes to those kinds of things. At least I am!
hahahhahahhaha :woohoo:

I kinda prefer "His Cookieness" (or is the Kookyness?)
I also answer to "Goofball", "His Goofiness", "Crazy like a Potato", "Jestor the Magnificent", "Wolverine", "Tome Cruise", "Lord Voldermort","Captain Kangaroo", "Willie Nelson", "The Magnicient One", "The Fox', "HEY MACARENA", "Peirce Brosnan", "He-Man", "Pepper to Wescli's 'Salt'", "Turkey", "Ya doesnt have ta call me Johnson", "Mr. Miage", "Slick", "Scooter", "Brat", "Frisbee", "AquaMan", and dozens more...
Basically the guy looking thoughtfully out the window was right, we really justcare about manners...
Beware any who demand you call them by a title...
Thats just rude...

This is your first mistake.
If this was a Christian church, I'd say: "We're all equal in the eyes of God."
I know you're referring just to your rank. BUT, don't think of yourself as low so much as inexperienced in "our way" of looking at the world. There are Masters here whom I respect with my whole heart, and there are some I look at and go, "how did you get that title again?" (Jestor, I'm looking at you, bud. hahahahha. jkjkjk) Just kidding, I think all the masters are wonderful and Knights, and apprentices, and students, and novices, and guests.

For example, "Master Jestor", or "Jedi Knight Wescli", or (for me) "Apprentice SeanChing"
I can personally relate to you, Malia. When I first joined TOTJO nearly a year ago, I took things way too seriously. I might have turned people off by being too formal. Over time, I learned to relax a bit and speak the way I would always speak.

I'm good with just Akkarin and I generally refer to everyone else by either their real name or username
Desolous calls me Master A (he's my Apprentice) and I like to think the 'A' stands for 'Ace'

So in summary, just call them by their name.

Since then, I call masters master + Wescli Wardest (I'm his apprentice). To be honest, I like adding titles to others name. Not because it's formal, because it shows them that I respect them. After all, I'm younger that almost every active member here.

To be honest my thoughts against the internet ranking system are very well known and have been for years.
