You won't lose any posts, or PMs, and such. It may happen that you are editing a post and at the time you hit "submit" the website will be down. To prevent wasting your time typing it all again you should copy it before hitting submit.

I do have some backups, but I'd like my final polished versions in case :)

I actually have a file that's a kind of an 'apprentice portfolio' of about 2/3rds of my work so far, I just haven't put together the remaining bit :)

Last time the site changed we lost our PM's!!! But it sounds like this time its just a migration of the same site/data to a new host, so it should not happen this time #goodluckITteam

It could happen anytime from now to days from now. This is not a site upgrade. That comes later. The site is moving as is to a better server. It should not be down long
