Monthly Jedi News Letter or Magazine?

Monthly Jedi News Letter or Magazine? was created by
I've searched the forums and did not see that this has been brought up at any recent point. If there is not one I'd love to be a part of the process. If it is already so where do I click... Or at least a possible monthly email, to cover major things in one swoop for those of you that don't always have the time to stay current.

I absolutely love that idea, and I think it would be both a lot of fun for the writers and a great help to the TOTJO community, in my opinion.
The only problems I see with this are contact, quality control, and permission.
Contact - Not everyone here has provided their email addresses. So the only way to reach every one with a newsletter would be with either through private messages or just a simple forum post (like this one). Private messaging seems more like a traditional email newsletter method, but it's a huge pain to add everyone's username to the send box. As of now, Idk how to automatically send a message to a lot of members here, let alone everyone. Plus, who would we message? Only people who sign up? Or everyone, including guests and temple members?
Quality Control - How will we know that the people writing the newsletters will be both good writers and helpful writers? Remember, a public newsletter could be just as harmful to TOTJO's presence/appearance/reputation/image/public appeal as helpful. Having really good and helpful writers would be just as likely as having a really harmful writer spewing up inaccuracies or slander. Perhaps the Jedi Council would need to appoint writers? I'd personally volunteer to help write some newsletters, if I'm qualified to do so.
and, of course
Permission - "Can we do this, pretty please, TOTJO Council?" Haha, you get my point, fellow Jedi

I think that's a fabulous idea.
I'm a professional journalistic/editorial writer. I'd love to write/contribute/edit for it. Let me know what you think.

This is actually already kind of underway... I wanted to send the first one out at the end of March
We do have their email addresses, because to sign up you need email activation. But it would be posted on the forum as well
While on the subject. What things did you all want in it? You might come up with things we haven't yet...

Just gonna spout some ideas:
How about a small myth or message, and how it relates to daily life. Perhaps even both intermixed to keep things fresh. This wouldn't have to be anything of significant size, but rather something for a quick smile and a tidge of knowledge.
As ctspann mentioned the big occurrences to keep people up to date. If it' s going to be digital in format than this could be a brief overview and a like to major topics or the sermons.
If there are any artists among us it would be cool to have a relevant and original cartoon. Albeit an artist wouldn't be necessary, I' m sure there are plenty of relevant comics that would more or less follow the same use as the first idea.
It could serve as advertisement for the social areas of the site. Again, if digital format, links to the chat or a mention of other social aspects. This would be to promote people to talk to one another. Not that it is an issue, haha.
Following the same idea, present a topic of conversation that may discussed in these areas. Related to one of the many aspects that litter this site. From other religions or the bits that make them up, to anew idea, to an old idea, to relevant recent happenings.
Just spitballin'

A "Knights Message" - Sort of like our sermons only shorter, with a new Knight each letter.
Also, guest articles from different aspects, i.e. Abrahmic, Wiccan etc.
