My Colors Will Be Clear was created by
Dear Jedi Temple fellows, let me share with you one text, a quote from an African Pastor who was captured and forced to renounce to his faith, and he refused so they sentence him death penalty. The night before they took his life he wrote the following lines. I used to be part of a young leader training group based on the scouting movement, when i grew and went into the chief group we used this as our starting prayer before we started any planning meeting:

“I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have Holy Spirit power. The dye has been cast and I've stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I am a disciple of His and I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away or be still.

My past is redeemed, my present makes sense and my future is secure. I am finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tame visions, mundane talking, chintzy giving and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotion, plotting, or popularity. I don't have to be first, right, tops, recognized, praised, regarded or rewarded.

I now live by presence, lean by faith, love by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power. My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions few, my guide reliable, my mission clear.

I can not be bought, compromised, deterred, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, popularity or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won't give up, shut up, let up or burn up, till I have preached up, prayed up, paid up, stored up, and stayed up for the cause of Christ.

I am a disciple of Jesus and I must go till he comes, give till I drop, preach till all know and work till he stops. And when he comes to get his own, he'll have no problems recognizing me. My colors will be clear.”

I hope you enjoy.

I enjoyed the read, and so I thank you. A question.

Do you have a code or similar mantra that you claim to follow? Hoe closely do you follow it?

That was pretty motivating, kind of reminds me of the Iron Maiden song "These Colors Don't Run" except in a spiritual sense

Many of us come from different backgrounds and basic structure of how we believe, whether just Jedi, Christian Jedi, etc. We freely accept each person for who they are as Jedi and not critizie how we have come here or how we chose to follow that path.

Mark your own path within the teachings and guide within. The first step you have taken by chosing an additional way to serve....

I love the feeling that wells up in me when I read that. I know I'm that. I know it. But maintaining that focus...

Despite my being on the out-and-out with traditional religion, there are amazing poems, prayers and sermons by these good people that can be soul-stirring.

Thank you for posting that story.
