Although off the topic, being too general and being to specific, can both be detrimental to ones point of view....:)

Ethics, do what's right, cause its right...

We all have that little voice inside us that tells us the right thing to do.

All we have to do is listen to it. ;)

Of course I get paid, but I do my best and try to “earn” my wages. I don’t even consider that others wouldn’t be doing the same. So, it is when I see someone running around spouting off propaganda about proper behavior I can’t help but wonder why. No one else is having an issue… what is it that they feel the need to “protect” themselves from?

They are insecure people, who make themselves feel secure by controlling other people. There's ddifferent levels of course, and we are all at least a bit inseure, which is why we all favor some form of order (or will at some point tell someone they're doing something "wrong"). Point is, the more insecure people are, the more bible bashing they become.

Convictions are more dangerous foes of truth than lies.

@ Rickie. Would you not agree that some people's little voice inside is broken? Basically they have no sense of right vs wrong. These people just do, and what they do, they do to feel pleasure of some type. These are the ones who would commit such acts as rape or murder and have no remorse. Then there are those who still are broken, and are the ones who yell out, "god hates fags." They do not understand the nature of reality or even God. No-where in the bible does it say, "God hates fags." Bah better stop before I go way off on this tangent. Not everyone understands what they do. Some just do and to hell with the consequences.

"You must do what you feel is right... of course" -obi wan kenobi.

What we feel is right is not all ways what IS right, but at least you won't be conflicted with yourself.

Or phrased differently, we cannot ultimately know if our decision is going to be good or bad. Sure we can try our best and use our best judgement, but the best made plans of mice and men... Things can go badly for no apperent logical reason.

So a well thought out bad decision can be just as wrong as bad choice made off the cuff.

Since the outcomes of decisions are ultimately out of our control, I would rather make a bad decision that I was ok with, than one I was not, well thought out or not.

What "ethic" says it's OK to place people in cubicles in a bull-pen in front of computers for 14 hrs a day under fluorescent lighting to boost their productivity?

Trimmed nails to short?

@ Rickie
So do you think that it is possible after some time of blocking their inner voice, that the voice would completely go quite; or do you think that maybe a different voice would arise. This voice being one that desires seeing pain in others? This voice would gain pleasure from seeing that pain.

Just a thought. Not sure if that is even plausible.

I don't think the voice changes at all. Screwed up emotions and desiries, to the point of mental illness, ignores it.
