The other night I had a dream I was driving around at night and got lost, missed an exit, and ended up in a strange town. I pulled up to a stop-light and the street sign said Jedi street. Then I woke up and went outside and there was an owl watching me until my dog spooked it. Weird huh?

Very interesting, Whyte Horse. I took special interest in your mentioning of that owl watching you when you got up and went outside.

Back here in Hawaii, some believe that owls are " aumakua ": reincarnated family guardians. I'm not an expert on the topic, but I understand that owls are fairly considered the typical aumakua animal. Think of that experience as a good luck sign, is my advice for you.

Man, Hawaiins have it right. I've always heard that Owls were an omen of death in the family...then again I've seen many owls w/o the death part. I would say each person has a different/personal meaning for each symbol.

Did you have any emotions in the dream? It's always fun to try and suss out the meaning of your dreams. Maybe there will be other clues in your waking life to help you out. The subconscious is very persistent that way.

I think the old wives tale says,if you see an owl three nights in a row ,it is a sign of impending death.

I would interpret the dream as this... You are at a crossroads in your faith or spirituality. The street sign signifies the path in which you should consider taking. The owl represents wisdom and knowledge. I believe you should take this as a sign that the owl is reminding you of that which you already know, and you should follow the path of Jediism.

I've never heard of owls being messengers of death....but ravens/crows....a raven on the roof is supposed to be a bad omen....if you buy into that sort of stuff...I think they just got a bad rap because they're carrion eaters ...then there's the idea that they guide departed souls to the other side....

Aren't myths and legends fun

The Owl wasn't in the dream, it was real. I don't attach any significance to it other than it really added to my perception that there's more than just random electrons bouncing around. Like if you sit down and calculate "what are the odds?" it's probably astronomically improbable what happens in our daily lives. The more you get in tune with the living force the more you notice it. All of these highly unlikely things start happening, lol. Athletes call it "getting into the zone".
