first off i just wanna say no i havent read the power of myths the part of the inaites part this is just how i see myths how they effect orur dayliy life and that i cant spell that grate so if your looking for perfect grammer thats not me so go read something else. but if you are looking for a personal opinon and well worded bullshiters experince than this is the article for you to read.

Myths what is a myth i would define a myth as what it is a fictional story with power over people. power meaning that it holds a speceail place in ones heart that inspires people to act a certain way for example it is a myth that if you light a ciggarte at a gas pump you will blow up this in fact isnt ture. ciggarates donot burn hot enuff to ignite gas in fact you can put a ciggrate out in a gallon ogf gas with no repercussions. just like when you where little your parents would tell you that if you are a good kid santa will bring you presents and that if you are bad santa will bring you coal this in turn would make you behave for most of the year and when you did act up your parents would remind you that santa is allways watching.returning you to your good behaveoir. myths genrally effect our everyday life in many ways if its simpally a small unnotice myth such as stepping on a crack and breaking your mommas back to a big myth such as the myan calnder saying the world is gonna end.in the end the point of this article is that myths play a pivitolr ole in our everyday lives wheather we want to admit it or not. myths can directly point us to what we need to go and do or they can instill fear and discord in us in conclusion one should never underestimate a myth because elderdo hasnt been found lets go find it and be rich end myth rant

Hello!

First of all, wrong sub-forum, I would put it in another part...Not in introduce yourself.

Well, I like your opinion on myths, and I believe, that is what a myth is.

Myths aren't just those stories of god, in ancient nations, but also big bang can be a myth, if not studied well,or atoms, if not studied well.

If you say that "Atoms build the world" this is a myth. But if you say "atoms are these, and these, they behave like this, and that, and..." That's not a myth.

So you're saying that a myth can arise from the simplification of a truth as well as from primative attempts to explain natural phenomenon (i.e. Zeus = lightning)?

I rather like that, actually.
