What purpose would the Jedi serve if the world did end?

I thought i would bring this up, what would we do as a whole or as a person if the world did end, would we strive to live to our code and pledges or would we disband and try to just survive. What would you do as a person?

If society fell?

Survival would be paramount at the start. Fear, anger, panic, desperation? These are things that would need to be navigated. For some, they would hold to the Code and the oaths. For others, survival would take all precedence. Having never been in such a situation, I can't possibly say, but I'd imagine ideals would go out the window for some.

But such an Order, if organised, could be a great piece of hope for humankind in the next world we live in. A proverbial light in the darkness if it managed to stay dedicated to the ideals.

This was actually the subject of a story I began to mentally draft at one point.

Survive the best I could and bring as much comfort as I could to others.

Act as though the world didn't end.

My thought would be to try and gather us together safety in numbers plus a lot of us have varies skill sets, that may help us survive put me as a person would find my family if possible first.

I thought that at first but I think in the context of this discussion lets assume that some of humanity survived instead of just the world blowing up in its entirety lol

We should really change the phrasing here. "If society fell" or "if civilisation collapsed" or something.
