When is the Path Restricting?

Oh really? The truth of what? A crutch for what? How do you interpret this code you've chosen to take for your own?

A person who feels as if their path is being restricted, I believe, have simply restricted their own path.
Yep. The only walls or boxes are the ones you create for yourself. Worst case scenario is wyen you create them for others (but even in this instance, they have allowed this)Morally and ethicly many find this agreeable(to various degrees) for societies to coexist to any though...but I get your meaning.
Passion is a crutch, peace is the truth.
Yeah...well, I wonder what the world would be like without passion. No music, art, philosophy. No science, martial arts, no JEDI,hell...there wouldnt be much of anything.
Passion moves the world, when you are passionate(even for peace) it is hardly a crutch. No moreso than the blood in your veins.

I loathe cop-out answers like that...It shows a complete lack of respect for the path a spiritual leader is on. I've stopped trying to find a church because of answers like "Just have faith in God" and "God is testing you".
But I would love to take a stab at the evidence you present. I'm one of the few people that can write up an entire argument against God, and turn around and then write the counter argument to it. It was for this very skill that I was asked to help an aspiring pastor with a high school homework assignment because his teacher and partner refused to give him the respect of debating a different topic.

I tend to forget that though my point is clear to me, others may not see it.

I actually found it here in one of the threads, when I was studying up on the Codes in the Order a couple days ago. xD

I came to the Jedi path from nothing. I had no religion, no philosophy, no spirituality. I suppose you could say that I came to the path with an empty cup.
But then, all this talk to "paths" really just reminds me of Taoism. The ancient symbol for the Tao represents a person walking on a path. So there really isn't any other path than the one you are always on.

Through peace I gain serenity.
Through serenity I gain knowledge.
Through knowledge I gain understanding.
Through understanding I gain wisdom.

The path is the path. There is no new path, there is only the path. If you do not see the path, it is because there is a bend in the road or a hill and valley to traverse. One foot moves in front of the other. You do not get new feet which travel separately from the old feet with your mind as part of each pair of feet, jumping between them when you don't like where your other feet are at.
The path is set and you cannot change it, you can only change the minds eye that is looking at the path.
You were brought up with one set of values (usually your parents). As you grew, you became more independent as an intellect, exerting your independence day by day. Soon, you begin to understand the trials and tribulations of life and alter your previous beliefs with a set of belief systems that make you feel more comfortable. Your EGO altered your view of the path, but the path is still under your feet. Your EGO may not be wrong, it may not be right, but it is forever altered the path of your journey.
Don't be so hard on yourself...break down the walls that restrict your mind and see the fullness of the path. You can be anything, you can go anywhere, you already are!

- Question everything lest you know nothing.
That's really the simplest and most accurate answer I can give to these questions.

“Though, as the crusade presses on, I find myself altogether incapable of staying here in saftey while others shed their blood for such a noble and just cause. For surely must the Almighty be with us even in the sundering of our nation. Our fight is for freedom, for liberty, and for all the principles upon which that aforementioned nation was built.” - Patrick “Madman of Galway” O'Dell
