I hope that's true Akkarin, I'm a Tau player and would love to see their re-release soon. I had really hoped for one last edition as they suffered a lot from the rules changes. Sadly my armies were stolen by my ex but I can rebuild once I've got things out of the way next summer

Ah well things are looking good in the new codex

Units with rapid fire weapons can now move and fire1 shot at full range (like assault 1) so Fire Warriors can now have an effective range of 36" at Str5 AP5

One of the things I've heard is railguns, after getting a penetrating hit on a vehicle, will have the shot continue through and hit another one and so on!

Goodbye to transports... I seriously hope that rumour is true lol

Basically Tau might be set to become a top tier army from a mid to mid-low tier army that they are currently (tournament wise at least)

But that's going to be the best thing about using vehicles!

Especialy using multiple vehicles in a line that is the direct line of sight of an enemy railgun unit!

I've played numerous multiplayer (online and offline,) including monopoly, and it seems that all people think about is for example: "I won't use psycher models for my Eldar Army becuase my friends Grey Knight army now has special deny the witch powers"

This mentality seems to completly override any other choice within the gamer's head. Reality check 101. These things are the very point of the design of the game!I acctually said to a grey knight collector that his anti-demon wepons would probalbly do well against my avatar!

No offence Akkarin, but alltough you probably put on a show of following the most important rule: "Help your oponnent enjoy the game," if you are thinking in terms of "one rule makes another rule useless" then you're undermining the basis of fair play!

There's at least one new fiction book for Tau (Ciaphas Cain novel) coming out. Maybe that'll showcase any changes to the Tau.

I'm still waiting for a 5th Ed Chaos Codex to see if my Khorne army has its teeth back.

Umm... there's a 6th edition Chaos Codex... :D

Alluvius, people shouldn't tailor their lists anyway, I have maybe up to 3 lists that I only ever use and most of them are pretty much the same :P

When you don't know what you're fighting it's better because you can't make one rule that makes another useless because you don't know what rules you'll be playing against! lol

6th was released about 3 months ago or so

Much improved on 5th but you would have to reread most of the rules, because they have changed a lot!

That's right akkarin!

I'm glad you didn't take it to mean I was saying you were like this. But this is the entire point of any game that has Either more than two players or more than 1 unit for each player. Ofcourse you will allways find people that want to turn up and make the game the complete opposite.

It's kind of like the reason I just logged on just now to speak to ren. My browser will lock up due to the shear amount of advertising that it is trying to process. But it will only start working again when it has told me it is not working and I've acknoledged the fact by NOT closing it.

Such is life...
