A Universe Without Purpose

Here's Lawrence Krauss being interviews on The Colbert Report.

After Krauss rxplaines how something comes from nothing and says there's no evidence for God Colbert says this.

If there is no God, OK if there is no thing called God, if he is nothing, can't something come from him?

I like Colbert.

So God is the beginning and end?

The light and the dark?

He is All things, AND He is NO THINGS?

Everything that comes to being is done through him, and everything that comes to being is done without Him?

So there is a universe without purpose and a universe with purpose. It is the path you choose that will define the purpose of your universe, or the lack of purpose YOU Choose!

I also wonder why people need for the world to have been created, but they don't question the creator's creation? And just accept its existence and foreverness?

The truth is, we can't track down beginning of the universe. So why don't we believe that we are really inside a dream within a dream? It makes as much sense as any other theory and is more cool than most of the deistic or atheistic explanations :silly:

That idea reminds me of that one movie called 'Inception.' It was about going into someone's deepest level of mind and planting an idea. Then again, that means that you'd need to have an actual place that wasn't someone else's mind to start from...
