I thanked the post, but I thought it needed it's own reply, haha.

It's good to know I'm not alone. I have found myself feeling less motivated since my little girl was born. I started on this site last year and after my daughter was born I found it hard to want to do much but work. Even the desire to do that is gone. But I have a reason now and that's why I've decided to set time aside and resume my studies. My problem both at home and work is that I'm truly bored. Taking time away from my studies here I lost interest in doing most things. The reason, much like at work, I'm not challenged. We need to be mentally and physically challenged. Otherwise we are just setting ourselves up for a complete lack of desire for everything including life. Take time each day, and challenge yourself. And you will be fulfilled. Works for me anyway.

Movement, Meditation, Exercise, and -- if those don't work -- find something completely new and different to try!
My feeling on the kind of ebb you are talking about is a result getting caught up in the routine patterns and activities of your day, and so missing out on the magic and the beauty of it all. So, try something different, just to shake things up: Eat dessert first, brush your teeth with the wrong hand, take a different route to work, order your curry spicy (or REALLY spicy), try that funky new latte at your neighborhood coffee shop (or an herbal tea you haven't ever tried).
I think most of the ideas offered by other Jedi are excellent as well, so perhaps seek to find your balance, as Jestor suggests.
Best of Luck!
