May 5, 2001 after Sunset: Had a very significant spiritual experience which caused me to rethink my pagan path.

Fall 2001: Start working with my dear friend Melissa who was trying to help me figure out what path I needed to be on (Christian vs. Wicca)

April 14, 2002: Melissa realized she needed a "Calvary" and introduced me to the forum she was solo training at (Force Academy).

Been there ever since, and even found my spiritual way (Christian). :)

And I loved the community so much, I started going around to learn as much as I can and help open doors of communication between orders when the opportunities arise. :)

I can't remember specific times, but when I was a child I wanted to be a Jedi just like Yoda. But I grew up and realised it was only fantasy and that I was never going to be a squat green alien. The older I got and the more I watched Star Wars I started looking at the Force from a scientific angle and started researching the physical principles of the Force. I started to call myself a Jedi again in my teens, but in a practical sense rather than fantasy.

I did not come to the Jedi Path. The Jedi Path came to me.

Always loved star wars but hadn't watched the holy trinity for a long time. On re-watching it had a very different meaning to me, rather than just lightsabers and cutting people's arms off in bars it. On seeing that Lucas was inspired by Joseph Campbell and that he wanted to invoke some sort of spiritual awakening to young people I stumbled upon this website...

After some troubling irl events it became very important to me to find a school of thought that valued love and understanding, and which didn't assume that its adherents knew everything about morality or the world. This desire of mine was a subconscious thing. I exposed myself to more Star Wars, played more SWTOR, read some fiction books-- I found a book on the Jedi religion by Matthew Vossler called Jedi Manual Intermediate, which I assumed to be a work of fictional anthropology, and while reading the reviews of this book I learned that the book was not intended to be a work of fiction, and that there were people in the world who felt the same belief inside them as I do, like a gem wrapped in velvet, and had adopted Star Wars terminology to express this belief.

I couldn't wait for the book to arrive so I began researching "real life Jedi Order," and minutes later arrived at the doorstep of this Temple. I didn't come here looking for acceptance, or to become a Jedi knight, although these things are both nice to earn. Instead I came to find serenity so that I can help myself and others through allowing the Temple to inspire my learning.

Just a hour ago Vossler's book arrived. It is sitting in front of me right now.

I am content.

I met a Jedi realist on a chat room called the Mos Eisly Cantina, about 15 years ago. He ended up being my teacher. He later disappeared and I just studied on my own.
