Turning Point was created by
Yesterday while I was having a cuddle with my beloved Hubby, (LIKE YOU DO). He said someting to me that he hasn't said in over 20 years and I find myself at a turning point, slightly taken aback and slightly unnerved.
The comment was to do with my weight and how much weight i have gained. Now he used to be very rude about my weight when we were younger but as we've got older he has always saiad he apperaites my size.
Feeling unnerved.....

I will tell you SJ, not only do we Jedi, (I can't remember, do you consider yourself a Jedi?), have to mind what, and how we say things, but, we have to learn to listen to what people say, and consider the intentions...
And not be offended if others can't quite say, what they are trying to say, in the best choice of words....
Not knowing the conversation at the moment between you two, nor what Hubby's intentions, I can't really comment except, to say, what I've said....
I will add, from what i can remember about Beloved Hubby, I'm sure he didn't mean to hurt your feelings...
And, sometimes, we have too try to see ourselves as others see us.... Sometimes we "look out" and see things around us, and we forget that we need to "look within", and focus on ourselves too...

Thank you Jestor and I have taken on board what my hubby has said and I know he wants to best for me and I am more than aware, I have my faults, as we all do. Like the rest of our commuinity I intend to better myself.
Yes I do consider myself a Jedi, I don't call myself a Master but rather Mistress (Self Appointed)lol.. As you know, I am not committed completely to the 3 Jedi Sites I am memebers of, but I rather feel like a diplomat between the sites. I find our community is in need of a Mother/Mitress figure and here I am......

Ah one of the classic trouble makers between the genders(the other being age)...
Men never know the best way to address either age or weight...perhaps we'd be best served not mentioning either...but then what would us guys speak of when discussing women....j/k
Age is but a number to express experience(but not always wisdom) and weight is but another number used to identify size(along with height)...all creatures increase in weight as they age...it's the way of nature...it's a visual hint at health and maturity...
Us men goof up and forget sometimes that it's what's inside that matters most...and sometimes we slip on purpose just to stir up a little something...of course it's also possible he was saying that more for himself than for you...

Warning: Spoiler!
There is passion, yet there is peace
Through passion I gain strength and knowledge
Through strength and knowledge I gain victory
Through victory I gain peace and harmony
Through peace and harmony my chains are broken
There is no death, there is the force and it shall free me

I believe my husband wants to bring certain things to the surface that I am not addressing. Tackfulness isn't on eof his virtues..
