I'm going over my private journal, at the moment, and there is a few things I wish to do.

One of them is copy everything outside of my studies and paste it on an exterior word program like wordpad.

And then merge it all together.

Copy the merged text

And then post it on a single post

That way my own personal musings are in one single post and my studies can have their each individual post.

Maybe I should of done this from the get-go but I simply did not think about it until now.

Aside from that I am also thinking about extending my current journal to an entire blog and merely have my journal used as somewhat of as a content page to access different sections of my own personal musings whilst my studies are kept in tact within the journal, of course.

In reality I believe we should have more power in the forums, if not universally, than at least more power over our personal journals. That way we don't have to keep asking mods to make the changes for us. We should be able to delete posts within our personal journals. That would allow more flexibility within the journal.

Do any of you other members want more flexibility within your journal?

This is how it is....

Sorry that you are unhappy...

You are seeing this site at a specific point in its evolution, and this is what has been deemed best...

You do not have to have a journal to be a Temple Member....

Hmm. yeah it's okay. I'll just try to work with what I got currently and make some changes to it's content. It'll look a bit goofy but that's fine. I just wanted to make it look a little more presentable than what it is. Looks kind of messy to me.

The privileges we have is more than enough personally.

Also due to system limitations some things are not doable.

Personally from the time it would take to delete every individual post is equal to the amount of time it'd require to make a PM to a member of staff with links to delete the individual posts.

There's no issue with the powers we have at the moment

and the ability to delete a post removes the admins ability to see what was in the post previous to editing it meaning some members could post vulgar comments about others, wait till they've seen it then delete it.

So albeit practicality comes at the concern of security.

What would you prefer, an Insecure system where anyone can mess things up or a secure system where you have as much freedom as you would ever realistically need?

Yeah you make a valid point.
I didn't really see it like that until now.

Sometimes you've just gotta take a step back and take everything into account eh? (not saying you didn't merely commenting :) )

to end the thread with something amusing...

We could allow people to delete their own posts but we won't. Before, signatures had to be changed by administrators. On the seminary forum, simply modifying your email address means your account has to be reactivated by an admin. Only recently a Master got his account jacked. I think we give people a lot of freedom and enough protection from undesirables. The system works, why change it?

Please post your thoughts on the lessons here....

You are asking people who will read it, myself, for verification of completion, and your training Master, to flip back and forth between your blog and TOTJO to read your journal....

I'm not worried what you post off-site, but we do ask for the lessons to be posted in your journal...

Its why we don't allow debates, and people posting in others journal...Becauuse I do not want to wade through tons of posts to verify your lessons...

This is for everybody I post this....

Its why we ask for headers so we know which lesson is which lesson...

Personally the admins do a fine job...

And...power worth having is earned, not given...if everyone had that much authority it could get out of hand and make journals anightmare to navigate through for training masters

The only thing I would like to see is a way to print a complete thread. Maybe there is and I don't know how? A button on the page?
