My own koan was created by
Kela was a very self conscious person and would give up very easily, but she was very beautiful. She liked boys and wanted to find a boyfriend. She wore some make up and dressed nicely. She asked a friend about what she could do to make boys like her. Her friend told her to wear more make up and more revealing clothes.
The next day she did as her friend suggested, and she was swarmed with boys who wanted her for nothing but her looks.
Three days later, she was sitting on a bench very down and depressed. A wise-man passing by stopped and looked at her. “What is wrong my dear?” he asked.
“I wanted to find a boy who would care for me rather than my looks. Why can’t I find that guy?”
The wise-man realized that she would give up easily. “I understand. You are very ugly”, he said, “so why bother wearing all that make up and dressing like that?”
The girl ran off crying.
A day later she went out with no make up and dressing modest. And she found the person who saw her true beauty.

It's a great example to think about, but that's not a koan. Koans are supposed to make no visible sense, and therefore, make us think about other ways of developing an answer than logic and lead us to satori.

I was putting this on as it was written when in was 13. That is why I gave it the same name as I did when I was 13.
