Mandalas are used as mediation in different religions.
Here is an excersise for you.
Go to Michaels and buy Crayon Colored pencils.
Go online and Google printable Mandalas.
Have fun....
Use whatever color you choose (not important)Unless you are an artist.
Be mindful of your breathing, how you hold the pencils, what shades you use, play meditation music, breath... have fun. Practice patience.
Invite your family to join you.
Take a picture of the Mandala.
Destroy your Mandala (not your kids, they'll be sad)as a excercise in doing away of attachments.

I've spent several hours doing this today and found it to be both very rewarding and rather difficult, at the end! Here is a short video of my efforts:

I saw your beautiful mandala, I loved the colors. The tibeten monks create these incredible sand Mandalas that are beyond words. And then destroy them.. here is why...Google for pictures.
From Wiki:
The Sand Mandala is a Tibetan Buddhist tradition involving the creation and destruction of mandalas made from colored sand. A sand mandala is ritualistically destroyed once it has been completed and its accompanying ceremonies and viewing are finished to symbolize the Buddhist doctrinal belief in the transitory nature of material life.
Thank you for sharing V Tog.
