If no-one minds having Christian sacred music (they're both in latin so you don't need to take any notice of the Christianosity (yeah I know that's not a word...)) I've got two of my very favourite pieces to sing to share with you:
O Magnum Mysterium - Morten Lauridsen (performed by the Kings College, Cambridge).
This is my absolute favourite and embarrassingly it's so beautiful that it makes me want to cry...and it always reduces audiences to tears!

Edit: That link didn't seem to be working but I've changed it now so hopefully it's OK.
Lux Aurumque - Eric Whitacre (performed by a virtual choir conducted by Eric Whitacre, made up of people across the world singing on the internet - it's quite interesting!). I actually like this one a little faster than this, but the composer is conducting, so I guess he knows what he wants...

I'm finding it hard to stop now I've got started with this!
Agnus Dei (originally Adagio for Strings) - Samuel Barber (performed by Trinity College, Cambridge).
If you're looking for something miserable and moody look no further...

Silent Sea - KT Tunstall
Something a bit different from my previous suggestions...
