That is a 3w Luxeon led and it's a class iiia laser - with the tube in it looks real and with it out it is blinding even in ordinary light if you look into it so it really is a defensive weapon. The blindness is temporary unless someone is stupid enough to keep looking into it.

This has the complete real sound too.

Yes this is the authorized prop duplicate in real prismatic finish with gold plate and chrome. It's heavy and one of only 4,000 made. Now I know why when Palpatine pulled out his first Lightsaber it looked almost black. There are only one red and green jewel each but they are only power indicators and all the controls must be manipulated by The Force inside the Lightsaber so only a force adept could even use it!
