Who framed roger rabbit.

I just watched it on iplayer (I was bored). I'd seen it before as a kid, but never realized the genius in this very, very, very lightly entertaining film...

The plot is centered against the evil plans of the bad guy to build a motorway. This bad guy is the sole shareholder of a company that purchased the tramways at the beginning of the film. Rings any bells? The General Motors streetcar conspiracy

I can't believe someone managed (and thought in the first place) to put something this controversial, with all the political implications, into what is essentially a film for young children.

Family Guy. The Simpsons, South Park, and many others...

Predominantly adult humor, with some childish elements thrown in...

Most "children's" movie have some adult humor thrown in....

My favorite, and most memorable recent instant was in the movie Madagascar....

We watch TV with the close-captioning on sometime, just for fun... Sometime cause its late, don't wanna bother everyone, whatever...

Early on in Madagascar, the Zebra and the lion are on the beach, both thinking they are alone... Then they see each other from a distance, cue, Chariots of Fire epic music scene, running down the beach joyous to see each other....

When the lion remembers that the zebra is responsible... He gets angry...

As the lion's face turns to anger, the zebra starts trying to turn around and run the other way....

As he does, now all of this in slow motion, the zebra exclaims. " Oh, Sugar, Honey, Ice Tea"
As in Oh Sugar, Honey, Ice, Tea...

I still laugh thinking about it... Now my son watches almost all his movies that way, trying to catch another...

On walk-about...

Sith ain't Evil...
Jedi ain't Saints....

Vangelis music is great, however he is greek.

And the greeks can screw themselves unless they donate their assets. Or share them. at least. Come on I'm a BNP Paribas shareholder.
