there is nothing to be intimidated with, the ranks just show you how much we can help you... knights give good advice among other things, admins can fix site stuff for you, masters, or council members can review unique situations, etc but they are not really the end all be all... there are unranked members here that give great advice as well.
We all are students of the force, and no one is ever better than you, just at different points on the path they choose, we all are exploring ourselves here and we are all here to help each other
BTW, feel free to join in chats or ask about anything... we are all willing to chat, discuss things and help when needed

Lol, Vanlande the fact that these people have these ranks and duties is also a motivation for others, for you. If we can do it then so can you.

visitors, or loged in users at the same time, is not gonna change anything, I know, sites, with 1000s of users loged in at the same time, some of my old websites, have 100s always... and, its a pain to control, also with that traffic, you need a server that can support it, ( and a website system working 100% ,this one have a lot of problems)
It's better to point to quality, but yes, it's nice to see a community grow up.
Here what I see, there are really active rites, and others..............
that make, some people, work more, and others, like me, be here, waiting to see, where I can help, I try to read from other rites, learn, but I'm inactive, because, there are no jedi general activities, and my rite... is dead?,
don't know... I'm here almost every day mon to fri, but there is not too much to do in here, i can read ( but i don't need to be loged in to do it, i can meditate, and also i don't need to be online...
so maybe we need to understand also that this is conjunction point, for all of us, but not a place to hung out...
we can meet here, but there is not much interaction, maybe because more than 50% of what we can do... is not done here in a web, is done in real life
anyway i like to be more active...

The point about ranks is interesting but i feel the need to once again stres (on behalf of totjo) that ranks are often misunderstood.
We dont feel rank means the holder is any better or worse than another - we have many members who choose not to undergo 'training' and be ranked.
The ranks simply denote a person has done xyz training. Many people do like to complete the training for personal gain and this is highly encouraged.
So please do NOT be intimidated by ranks

This is by far the most active site I have found for those interested in walking this path. I have looked and found that TOTJO is the right place for me.
Each of us walks our own path. On any given day I know there are people here. I have yet to find myself alone here.
I run my own site for an MMO community that I established in the 80s. Life is a wave, and you will have rises and falls in participation, interest and membership.
There is always a core group of people holding things together, keeping the light on.
Like you, I am not ranked. I just completed the Initiates training, but I am constantly learning and feel I have a long way to go. There is a lot of knowledge and wisdom here. And I good bit of humour and human contact to be had if you seek it.
As far as sparking more usage. In my mmo community we do a quarterly meet and greet. A gathering in chat to just talk to each other. It is not mandatory, it is rough because of all the different time zones, but it brings us all closer together. It is possible for us to do this here as well.
In the end, we all will come and go as we follow our Path. Your path has led you here. You can be as active or inactive as you wish to be. I am glad you are here. This very thread that you created has sparked some good converstation and thoughts.
Thank you.

Just a quick note to point out that you're an Apprentice, Karn. That's a rank!
