I've noticed something since I started my initiates training here. There aren't many who frequent the site, are there? It seems to me that only a select handful are on at least once every day or two, and I've NEVER seen the number of logged members more than 10. I guess I just assumed there would be more Jedi out there, you know? Where are they all???

That's about as busy as it gets. That's if you count the number of members logged in at the same time. They are in all the time zones so it will vary. Most do not make it through the training to Knight.

As far as I know we are the highest ranked Jediism site in terms of unique visits and repeat visits.

If you count quality as opposed to quantity we're a smashing success. I do wish we had more participating members though.

Any thoughts on making things more interesting or adding fun events that could boost logins are most welcome.

Jedi that joined, roughly the same time I did, have since stopped coming here as often as I still do... Physical world commitments make it tough to be regular in visiting the site.... I have trouble as well.... as the site grows, hopefully we will have enough make it through to be able to provide a more constant support... Br.(s) Jon, John, Mark, Daniel, Jasper, RyuJin, Kana, and Sister Tiamat, have been here and done more than their fair share of keeping this site going... there are others, but at this moment, these are the names that come immediatly to mind.....

This site is not for the \"I wanna be a Jedi\" crowd, and the time commitment required to get through the training is fairly heavy... not that it is so demanding of a schedule, as there is not set time frame for completion. It is, however, not a walk in the park... And this makes for a slow process for many, who I believe, then slow their visits.... But that is the point, if you ask me... The earned is worth more than the given......

The training is not necessary to be a Jedi or Jediist, not required to even visit here and join in conversations or to seek guidance and comfort... but I do not think that this is made clear enough. Many do not want to join a group, they just want some words of wisdom to get through their lives.... Inspiration to keep going and to verify that there is a reason for it all.... Unfourtunatly, that is a lesson everyone must seek for themselves.. not something that can be told to once or twice.... Thus the point of the lessons... a POV that maybe can shine a little light on things for an individual.....

I find it very interesting that I have made it through the basic training here and yet, I would not have taken the time to do this for any other religion, or theory..... of course, my training in life, now that I am armed with a little more knowledge, is just beginning....

If there are no Initiates for training, then the Masters have no one to train. If there are no Masters, then there is no one to train the Initiates.... In a physical world comparision, I understand and have seen this pattern... the old get tired, the new come to learn, then they become the old and leave before the next set of new people come....

It needs to happen at a faster rate so that the two will overlap...
It will, gotta have faith...

everyone travels through life on different paths at different speeds. true that an overlap would be good to have, but at the same time quality shouldn't be sacrificed to achieve it. the best way to get more members active is for the initiates/apprentices to get through their training and train the next generation. the more knights/masters we have the more members that will be active.

the challenge with this is that many join with the \"i'm gonna be a jedi\" mentality not fully understanding just how much of a committment and how much work it really is. then there are the ones that join, become knights and leave.

as has also been pointed out is that there are members from various timezones so sometimes you can log in and find alot of members on, or no one on....there have been times when i was the only one here, and at one time there were 17 on while i was on...

and of course you don't have to do the training here to participate in discussions, it's only to have a recognized rank here.

then there's the whole thing about work/life/etc getting in the way...somedays it does, somedays it doesn't...it's just how these things go. we all have multiple commitments, and they get prioritized...

stick around long enough and you'll see that these things are cyclical...we'll have times when it's really jumping and times when it's really slow

What I would like to know is if someone can point out a web site which has more than 10 members on line at one particular time. Are there any out there? Where are they all? Lol. I think you should get a general picture of what internet looks like.

True... I regularly visit only one other site, the JRC....

And I think there is only been one time where there were more than 2 on at the same time....

They are not a training center, but still....

Or Porn :p

Joking aside - as already said - there are many factors that affect the numbers online.

Actual jedi or otherwise aside (we have non jedi members too) there have been a few occasions in my time here where the site had over folk on at once - many in chat.

Like many things in life - the net has peaks n troughs of activity - however - as you said - there is a core who are here regularly (and i dont consider myself one of them) who are here a lot - but there is nearly always somebody here ;)

Ive known a few sites to be empty for days at a time.

I hope you at least feel happier in the knowledge this site is usually inhabited 24/7 so if u need a chat or advice - someone should be here for you - failing that, the pm boxes are always open

This is by far the best Jediism site. I knowof many other sites that have a lot of people on. Gaiaonline is one, though they're just a hobby and game site. Kana Seiko Haruki made a great point that I really like. I guess i'm just intimidated that everyone seems to be a Knight or Master and I'm so far from that level.
