Master Finch, there are no electronics in this hilt. It's a solid hilt for just display or costuming. I've not learned how to do the electronics yet. Once it's complete, I'll post a finished product photo.

I would love to see the pics of those sabers Br. Justice, but I cannot seem to pull up that website here at work, they must have it blocked. Is their any way you can post them here in the forum, or under your temple space? I'd appreciate it.

Here is the first complete, full size hilt I've made. I patterned it after the Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-wan Kenobi hilts from Ep. I. I've also posted it in my gallery for those that can't follow the links.

Wow, That looks great! You know, I was at a Photographers swap meet today and there were tons of people with old Graphlex Flash handles (like the ones used to make the original hilts in the films) for around $5.00 a piece. Would it be inappropriate to buy one of these and remake it slightly into a hilt?

Jump on it! $5 is a great price for those if you are after a movie style hilt. I think it would be a rewarding project for you, my friend.

The next swap meet is in October so I think I will. You know these sorts of swap meets are great places for these sorts of things...I would encourage you to all look in your local classifieds for these worts of flea markets and swap meets...you never know what you'll find.
