I should have posted this here previously but i haven't really been 'all here' the past few days, have a lot going on right now.

So, what do you all think would be good to teach a Jedi who is on the path to beomming a Knight/Master?

Those who posted in the Young Jedi League post need not reply here unless you choose to do so.

First the basics like, tenants, creed, 16 principals, campbell lectures, The Book, but all within one classroom with say about 10 initates. But they need to post what they are learning so that the knights and masters can see what they are doing and be guided by the Force to that initate upon completion of the class.

I Love this hole Idea. I suggest that we get started with one class for now.Basics!

We let everyone know when a Master will be teaching and shout out when the class is in session.

May be we should start this week end? We take the rest of the week to gather info for one class.Im sure other classes will spawn after that.I just feel that its time to do some thing insted of just talking about it.

OKay, so does that mean the basics as far as the code and crede or do we want to put full detail and explanation of the Force? What should we do in the 'Basics'?

Mainly how to use the site...I'll put it like this.

Spend a weak on each.WHY? because not every one is on for a straight weak.

1. Site navigation

2.Movie Force meaning.

3.Rites and what the force means to them.

4.Mp3s ,books ,and other lessons that need be tough

Thats a good month of work. After that if we still have the attention we need than we should start picking students/apprentices.

I think that a good resource as far as a curriculum would be the \"Start Here\" forum... find out what us newbies have questions on... also the FAQS. I do think the basics are important (the Code, the Creed, etc.), and the different rites and things like that... I think a good thread to start is \"What do you want to know, but were afraid to ask\" or a similiar topic... people may still have a lot of questions that they haven't asked, or don't know to ask... and getting a conversation going on what people are confused on or would like more information on may help to know what would be good to include... and also let people who are already here feel freee to \"pepper us with questions\" and get the information they are looking for.
Just a thought...

Although this would be the best idea, from past experience you will find it difficult to get enough feed-back. It would be easier to draw on the experience of the Masters in their dealings with students.

We need a simple and comprehensive system where the student is motivated and challenged, and the masters not over burdened. I only see problems in making limited classes, especiall with such a strongly fluctuating membership and growing numbers. It would be of great advantage if it was a rolling system in which anyone can start at any time.

This is something ive also thought about Jon and came up with the following

The 'Pre-Apprentice' (initiate) curriculum is set, ie fixed, call it a syllabus if it suits.

Now then we could have say 3 or 4 Masters who take groups of say 5 of these initiates and take them thru the curriculum (these could be deemed pre masters) and these masters will be able to give extra help where needed on an individual basis, and therefore will be in a good place to decide who is ready for the next step (a proper master)

Other options include the intake officers spending a little time to sort out (just an idea this) which pre-master is appropriate to a given initiate.

With this system, as long as there are masters here, and a suitable syllabus, the normal comings n goings of membership ought not be a problem.

Anyway, just an idea to throw into the mix

PS the library is a very good tool for this purpose also ;)
