A physical Jedi Temple!

Although The Real Jedi are somewhat different then the Jedi in the Star Wars Movies, Imagine how AWESOME it would be if we had a physical, real and awesome Jedi Temple…kind of like in the Star Wars Movie!!
It would have a high Council room, training/ class rooms, meditative rooms, guest rooms…the works!

Has there been any discussion of this here? It would take YEARS of fundraising and a LONG time to build anything…but I think it could work and it would be freaking awesome!

Yes I have had such thoughts and dreams of a physical Temple...but right now thats what they are, dreams. I have thought about it in a more \"real\" sense. Perhaps getting like six acres of land with wooded area along with a stream would be nice. Building a practical Temple with a large room for teaching (force, Martial Arts, Meditation) living quarters and kitchen bathrooms Council chambers. Then have a large garden to grow our own foods. Have outdoor class rooms in the woods and near the stream. A fence to have privacy and to keep vandals along with people who wish to make fun and protest. Its possible but not likely...

when i get older im just goin 2 make a small Jedi Temple not 2 big mayne 4 lik 40 ppl 2 fit in and it would be in a nice remote area without anyone there

I have thought and planned how I believe a Temple should be. I dont think it should be like a church or anything in that nature. More like how Monks and such live. Be cut off from the world surviving with what nature has to offer. I believe thats how Jedi today should have a Temple. Let it have a more Japanese feel and setting to it. But many things could be learned by living that way. But it would take complete devotion and a few real wise Masters to train and watch over

Yes, that wpuld be awsome. After being with the Temple for a few months, I learned that there are a few temples around, most not as large as the ones in the movies, but just places to meditate, learn and other things.

There has always been talk of a physical Temple. As a matter of a fact, I believe there was two in the planning stages. One in Michigan and one in Texas. I'm not sure what became of that. If you wanted to, why not have gatherings of your own with Jedi who live with in reasonable driving distance. I believe a few Jedi are doing that already. A neutral meeting place could be decided and everyone meet there as often as you like.

yeah, that would be amazing. Im a realestate investor. I have also been thinking about investing my money in openining a temple. it is not that hard to fundraise if you know the right people, and i know alot of people that wouldnt mind investing a couple thousand.
If a temple was built it would be alot of work to maintain, but im sure with the community of support we have it should be no problem.

One is a plan for a Holistic Facility. One that could allow for Jedi to have gatherings, train and use as a retreat. But it would be open to the public so that it won't suffer finacially.

Another is a plan for Joint Emercengy Disaster Institute. The idea is for a non-profit group that responds to natural disasters across the world, or for rescue missions(say you get stranded in the middle of the pacific).

And lastly, the final one I have heard about is a Jedi Realist Magazine. There is currently an online magazine(www.jediserenity.com), however it has only made it to volume one in the past few months. Over time, the editor hopes to have it running smoothly. WIthin the next four years, if a publication of a Jedi Realist Magazine has not been done, expect to see a young woman by the name of Setanaoko(Alethea Benton) heading one up. As it stands, her current military obligation hinders her from going forth with the project now.
