Have you ever heard of Doreen Virtue? For those who has not, she is a clairvoyant doctor of psychology whose most important book EARTH ANGELS regards teaching about origin of our souls.
According to her, the planet Earth is a very dangerous place that must be guarded and protected by souls that were incarnated in bodies of some people. The Earth itself is created by basic elements and they are, once again, created by several realms of their members. Members of each realm look different, e.g. angels tend to be smilish and overweight- they preotect their souls with body fat, so the fat drives back all the hatred.
The Elementals stand for elements like WATER and EARTH, and those are fairies, gnomes atc.
The Wise ones are those who used to be witches, wizars, shamans etc.
The Angels are people whose souls were angelic before it \"landed\" in their bodies.
The Star People are people whose soul is of extra terrestial origin.
The last group are Walks-in, Shapeshifters and Evolvers. Souls of the Walks-in came to their body when those people wanted e.g. to commit suicide and their original, tortured soul was replaced by a new, happier soul. Shapeshifters and evol?vers jump from realm to realms because they are bored in just one realm and they want to know at full fart.
And then they are Blends of all realms, of course. Like e.g. the Mermaid realm, they are blend of an Angel and an Elemental or Knight Paladins, who are blend of the Wise ones and the Angels.
