\"One thing we can do is educate our youth. \"

You bet brother. I do this every day to any of my students that will listen for more then a second. You know people really don't give kids enough credit. When you give them all the information and then let them make an informed decision you'd be surprised at the choices they make and opinions they form. With all the media their fed being largely controlled by major corporations their just a product of what they eat. Give 'em good food for thought and just watch what happens!! Now if you want to know what we american tax payers can do about it then I say this: Forget about not buying gas for a day, how about a mass, Nationwide sick day. Millions of people taking off from work and not taking a sick day, so they'd be taking a pay hit, but on that day the government would be hit worst of all because they can't tax you on wages you didn't earn. that should send a message. Or how about instead of a million man african american, what about a 10 million person march of all races and colors, religions and creeds. Because as long as we are divided we cannot stand as a nation or a people. But hey, what do I know.

Jefferson himself said that for a democracy to work, the people needed to be educated. Make you wonder why so many of the current mucky-mucks are so eager to cut funding for education...

As for what we can do, well, there IS this election coming up...
