My Name is Patty, Master Neaj Pa Bol. I have been a member here 2 days prior to the birthdate of the Temple, December 23, 2005. I started out as a Charter Member have been granted the Rank of Grand Master and Matriarch of the Temple.

Hi patty ! How long officially have you been on the temple? How did you come to find it when it wasn't what it is today and what was it like - back then? Thank you so much for your time .

What was your driving spark to help create this Temple?

I'm from the original pre-teen age group of when the movie "Star Wars" came out in 1977, I was 13 and my Step-Sister took me as a belated Birthday outing.... I have always been intrigued by the fact that the simple term "May The Force Be With You" seemed to stick in ones mind... Which brought on a life time of experiences through many different church settings and study... I actually came across it while searching Jedi teachings...

Back then it was study, study, study for me... Eventually I made Master, set off with my own students, which I watched not only become Knights but Masters as well.... I have accumulated a crap load of material over the many years, that even like to go back and reread...

The Temple back then has many of the things we still have, a constant work to grow and develop, as we have to Today...

When I came across the Temple and read of the incorporation I pondered it for a few days before I jump at the chance. Many things I do in life in general goes by prayer/meditation on a subject or I go by instinct. This was an overwhelming feeling of peace, as I believed it was meant to be...

First off, a pleasure to speak with you. I am relatively new so we may not have spoken before. I have a couple of questions an experienced member of the TOTJO may be able to help answer.

In your experience, what do you think it means to be a follower of Jediism in the modern world?
In your view, what is the best thing we can do to help society as a community?
What do you think about the challenges that face a follower of Jediism in the modern world? An example would be a follower in the face of adversity. How does one remain at peace when faced with adversity from those who do not understand?

Is there a Sabbath for Jedi? What would Jedi church services be like in person? Have you ever thought of enacting a "Service Corps" such as is explained in "Path of a Jedi"?

Why is it called a church instead of temple. Can we be a religion without being a church?
