I simply choose a pattern on the keyboard and change my password every three months or so using said pattern. But, four random words is cool too.

Length is more important then anything, even when brute forcing length is the biggest enemy to hackers.

Most systems are safe from bruteforce attacks, and outright decryption of a stored password is essentially impossible as long as it's decent encryption.
