Just a quick question, has anyone ever taken the Briggs-Myers test to see what their personality type is? My psychology prof sent out an email and wanted us to take the test before classes start in a couple weeks, its a small community college so he's wanting to individualize lesson plans for each student. Mine is almost spot on, as an INTP, but I was just curious to see if anyone else had the same results(not type, but the spot on part of it).

That link Manu shared is a great resource. I'm an ENFP and it is pretty accurate.

ENFP. Eerily accurate.

Hmmm, I'm not sure where you can take an official MBTI test. But there are other tests that are extremely similar.
The one I like best is the Keirsey test. That one is free and just as accurate as the MBTI (I think). It even has the same types (with slightly altered "archetype" names).

Vlad, I've always done it at https://www.16personalities.com/
Which always inevitably lists me as either INFJ or INFP.... I far more frequently test as INFP, which was my most recent result.

Please bear in mind that these tests are not considered particularly scientifically valid.. they may be interesting to see what you come out as, but please don't rely on them for anything..
That said, my understanding is that to get a more "correct" result you need to have a trained tester administer the questions...

I think these things have the value we give them... I've certainly learned a great deal from my INFJ "diagnosis" (every online test I've taken and 2x professional tester during my career), am in touch with many other INFJs in specific INFJ-themed communities, have learned a lot of skills and practices which help me with some of the struggles in my own life... sure for many the type isn't so accurate, or they are between types, but for some it can be a big deal, and a big help

Sounds like something that someone who was selling the qualification for being a trained tester would say
(As it happens, at some point I received the test from a "professional", and as it happens, I can't for the life of me remember what they came up with)
