Feeling ignored. Anytime I feel like my opinion isn't given due consideration (it doesn't have to be the end solution), or anytime I feel like someone is only listening to refute or argue, and not to understand. I've tried being diplomatic, I've tried being a pain, I've tried being polite and I've tried being a menace and nothing works. Nothing. People want ideas from people who aren't me.

Positive thing in my life right now: My back hurts slightly less than it did yesterday.
Looking forward to: starting my own business.

I promised to answer every question in this thread. It is now that I will remind everyone that sometimes "mind your business" qualifies as an answer. This is a thread for getting to know me, not a thread for psychoanalysis.

A million, lol. I always do. But I want to spend time with the idea of how to know other folks' boundaries, first.

What's the meaning behind your beautiful new emblem?

The eight-petalled lotus signifies the eight worlds and eight directions, with the center circle (barely visible here) as this, central, world. The center, the mitsu tomoe, represents the various three-fold divisions: earth, sea, sky; mind, body, soul; positive, negative, neutral; higher world, lower world, central world.

3's and 8's (and their multiples and/or divisors) play a strong role in my personal view of the universe (four elements, 16 teachings, 9 as a number of completion), and radial symmetry is the order of the universe in my opinion, so I wanted something that spoke to those numbers while acknowledging both an Eastern and Western influence in my spiritual growth.

Do you think it suits me?
