Well, I was physically and mentally abused from birth to 18
Abandoned in the hospital at birth
And was born with cerebral palsy.
Life can be a nice s*** storm in a way that is beyond your control.
Lots of physical and emotional pain and suffering.

What kinds of things bring you joy?

Things that bring me joy aren't "things", but connections with people

This is why you can relate to the pain and suffering of others. Its a gift that you can embrace. Many such as my self respect you for that.

I'm not going to lie. When I came here six years ago I was looking for validation and a space to fit in. That really hasn't changed much. I've done a lot of learning and growing and developing and I have now been given some responsibility. I consider part of my responsibility to be creating a space where others can belong
