How the Dark Side helps my inner light. was created by
In this topic I will offer a short list of how the Dark Side mistakes I've made have given me valuable lessons that shape my path with the light today. And I will also be open to questions about my mistakes and lessons, so please feel free to ask about them freely. I am no Master, and I do not claim to possess the same wisdom, but I hope that my knowledge can help others.
In my dark past I have let hatred and anger lead me to a life ruled by violence. Violence always came naturally to me, and I found that I have an ability to see and immediately be able to replicate nearly any Martial Art that I witnessed. Even sword styles, and other weapons. As a result fighting was a part of my life from a young age. And the fact that at just 11 years old I suffered a highly traumatising event only made the Dark Side easier to find. But through that path I learned many important lessons. After watching several of my friends die in front of me as a result of my own arrogance and lack of care for my fellow fighters, I learned that no situation should be approached in ignorance. Another lesson I learned came after my over confidence resulted in injury. I won the fight, but at the cost of having my clavicle, left arm, and left side ribs broken. From this I learned that confidence must be met with a level headed attitude, and channeled into clear, focused actions.
I could list many more, but I suppose that endlessly reading my initial post isn't the point of this topic. I am very interested to see what questions may arise from others and I am more than willing to answer your questions. So one more time, if you have any questions whatsoever, please ask. I will answer to the best of my ability in order to offer any help that I can.

So, you have before you an opportunity to go into much detail on the events that helped shaped your life, in an attempt to "teach" (we don't normally allow anyone to begin teaching until they reach Knighthood) and yet have only provided a very generalized overly vague summary of events...
Is there a specific reason as to why you chose to leave out so many details? Wouldn't have Including more specifics created more opportunities for others to learn from your mistakes? You haven't really left much to take away from, I'm left wondering why there's not alot there to begin with...

I have no intention to "teach". I only wish to offer warnings in the hope that my mistakes can be avoided by others. And as for the vagueness of my words, some details should be left out. Certain things that if heard may cause others discomfort. But as I stated, I will answer any questions. With an appropriate amount of information.

Feel free to spoiler tag things with the appropriate Warnings if you wish - We have a wide cross section of people here, with all sorts of experiences that may surprise you.
I've sustained similar injuries to the ones you describe - Although mine came from an unfortunate misunderstanding of physics (such as the ones that occur when a motorbike, a tree, and a squishy human interact....)
Unpleasant though it was, I still ride bikes - so I suppose my question is "What was it about being injured that, above all other things, made you begin to approach challenges with a level head and take the time to ensure your decisions are clear and focused?"

I learn better through specific examples; story, if you will. I'd welcome an appropriately spoiled story-riffic answer to the above question, or one in a private message.
I'm glad you were able to glean learnings from such difficult situations. It's an admirable skill!

I don't see any problem in this being spoken about. As your own experience.
