Guitar Build Idea

I like the idea of expanding my horizons and making useful projects, and lately my interest has been in music. After doing some research on the evolution of chordophones (guitars, harps, violins et al.), I realized that making a basic cigar box guitar is easily do-able with the materials and tools available to me.
This thread will be where I'll update the status of the project.

So far, I've just been doing research on materials, scale length, and construction techniques. Lots of maths. For the first one, it'll pretty much be a glorified ukelele. If I do any further versions, I'll look into a relief scale with scalloped frets, truss rod(s), an angled headstock, electric pickups, and maybe a custom vibrato.

Color me interested!

If you are still doing this I would love to see how this turns out. I'm also a fan of the guitar even though I can't call myself good by any means
