So, in your opinion, if I understand you correctly, Silas, having a system where different governments and various political opinions, flawed though they may be, are allowed, tolerated and represented through what at least on paper would seem to be a democratic process is worse than a system where what qualifies as truth or the right, good way to think is decided by a god-emperor (or his designated ministry of truth, as it were) who is defined as infallible and where being accused of differing can happen anywhere at any time and for any reason, and is tantamount to being guilty of treason which can be punished by wholly arbitrary and often not even fully known or predictable ways, correct? That kind of system, where nothing but individual safety and dignity is uncertain, is "heaven", in your opinion, because in the other one unnamed figures conspired to a predictably self-destructive attack on themselves, a guy you disagree with was elected, and opinions on matters of law can be various and up for debate.

Is that an overall fair reading of your position?

That's a pretty narrow minded view of the U.S. (and by your writing I'll guess you don't live in the U.S)

Yes we have gun OWNERS but we are not inhumane. Yes we have capital punishment but not everywhere. I'm assuming you missed the articles from U.S media saying how they dishonestly reported on Trump in order to slander him and buried other information to portray a certain image (you know, because media is always trustworthy). Committing 9/11 has become a popular meme on the internet hardly merits even becoming a conspiracy theory anymore.

It's not a conspiracy, it's a fact. Bush did 9/11. No joke, no meme. The Truth.

If you've been to Cuba how can you possibly Compre it with the other places you listed?

Theres a good reason many people risked life and limb to float 90 miles north...really a lot of good reason. Members of the Cuban community I know do not lament Castro's passing.

Painting whole groups of peole with the same brush is stereotyping and a demonstration of willing or unwilling ignorance. Further if the US was bad that does not make Cuba good, if you're looking for relative comparisons there are more than two countries to compare.

I don't think he's a hero, as he was effectively prevented from becoming that by the US, but it takes some genius and a serious pair of balls to lead a nation independently against the wishes of such a powerful and merciless neighbour. Hopefully his grave will be the cold war's also, and cubans will no longer be feared and hated for daring to do their own thing. And before people mention their poverty: Their hacking skills are superior to yours, and they've got compay segundo. I don't see what more anyone needs :P
