I just read in the Washington Post, that, whilst it is unlikely, Sen. Sanders could run again in 2020 either as a VP or President. He'll be 79 and hopefully still alive, but, head of state is a really good retirement present. #feelthebern

We can only hope. The current state of affairs is untenable, horrific, and terrifying... so we have to maintain hope about something. But we also need to work diligently to nullify all negative aspects of a Trump presidency, and a Republican-controlled Senate & House. The first big fight will be in two years, for the midterm, but we can't wait even for that. We need to fight this today. #RefuseToNormalize.

Well, there was a chance to fight what ever it is you think needs be fought. If only democracy didn't care about voter turnout and the votes themselves... Then again, there is nothing sacred about democracy. If it bothers you that it could treat your political opposition fairly, you can try and get rid of it, too. Or you can just keep waiting for the concentration camps, insitution of Sharia and the replacement of the democratic process by the antichrist that is [strike]Obama[/strike] Trump. You laughed at the right wing when they mongered fear and to this very day, eight years down the line keep "refusing" to "accept" the current government, but surely the left's concerns are far more legitimate.

Let's put it like this. The reason Sanders dropped out was not exclusively the will of the people (to put it mildly). The man's integrity surely didn't help matters either and though I'd love to see someone like him take the wheel, I have severe doubts that at his advanced age he will still try another time or that he should, and this is still assuming a grave enough dissatisfaction with the upcoming president that would leave a challenger with a chance, which, given the total absense of a prior political career, I frankly don't see how one could predict. For now I think that mongering fear or borderline calling for civil unrest is unhelpful and undignified and in some cases hypocritical, too. I propose instead to wait and see, to have patience and dignity, and a sober mind to judge things as they come and when they do.

2020 is a long way off. We can't just say "well since I don't like how this one turned out I'm going to hide until I think I can have my way." Right now we need to focus on right now. We need to think about what we can do today to solve the problems of today and hopefully avoid more problems in the future. Real life isn't like a math test in school where they tell you to skip the hard questions and come back to them later. We don't get to skip Trump's presidency, no matter how much we may want to.

In 2019 I'll start thinking about who to elect in 2020. In 2016 I'm going to worry about what's happening in 2016 and what will happen in 2017.

While all of this uncertainty is uncomfortable, it is just that, uncertainty. We don't know what is going to happen in the next four years. We don't know what will happen tomorrow. Many believe we are headed down the wrong path, but simply believing this doesn't necessarily make it true. We know as little about what Trump will do now as we do about what Bernie would've accomplished as the President.

As Jedi, we should be focused on the NOW and putting our best efforts toward promoting peace and harmony. If Trump is willing to make an effort to promote peace and harmony, I'll support him in that. I will not support those who would sow the seeds of violence or discontent, regardless of where they land on the political spectrum.

I am a Jedi, an instrument of peace, first and foremost.

Some actually believe we have just been put back on the right path. ;)

I'm amazed at the infantile behaviour of those screaming bloody murder in the streets. Instead those people need to get some perspective and realize that this is no more the end of the world than when Obama took office 8 years ago and proceeded on a downward spiral of counter productive interests to what has made this nation great. Still it did not "end the nation". We survived that and now the people have seen the damage and have spoken. This is the system working as it was designed to work. We now need to unite with hope for the future along side this newly united govt under the leadership of a man only interested in making America great again. An America based on a free market economy under a Democratic Republic that's main priorities are a strong national defense and individual rights and prosperity of the people while holding the laws of the land as paramount. That is how we prosper!

Sanders had that meeting with Obama and came out with what lookd like a big slap in the face with that red mark. They must've just been like 'no way in hell are you going to do anything now crawl back into your hole.' If you think Sanders will have your back after stabbing you by endorsing Hillary who is the pinnacle of Wall Street represntation and corrupt activities, you are a moron. These grown children can't see past the idiot comments Trump has made that only shadow the actions and behavior of Clinton and if anyone thinks Hillary would've been the better choice I really have to laugh because they're each a wing to the same double headed eagle picking at the rotting corpse of America.

This is sure going to be funny, as usual it's the mindless sychophantic social justice warriors calling for violence and disrupting rule of law, those on the left are just as bad if not worse than their counterparts on the right. Imagine the mainstream media uproar if Hillary won and pro-Trumpers were in the street doing the same thing, maybe they gave Trump the election because they know the country is at a boiling point and the left are just a bunch of fruit flies you can shoe away easily because none of them believe in taking actual action or own arms.

Trump is still the wild card, he's no Ron Paul and has never mentioned the Federal Reserve plus he's pro-Israel so it's going to be more of the same except besides the stupid meaningless comments, the things he's said for his campaign and promises he's made are one hell of a vision for turning this country around and if he's for real it's going to be a rocky road. Otherwise I just see Trump saying, "I didn't start these wars but I'm going to finish them!", keep beefing up the police state thanks to Lenin's useful idiots out there causing a ruckus right now along with illegal immigrants who want to feed off this system who made it easy for them to do so as to have a cultural watering down as in places like Sweden.

If 2mn Canadians were here illegaly it would be no different in the need to handle this problem, if Asia was at war with itself fighting extreme Buddhism and Buddhists were so violent and full of hate blowing themselves up killing people in mass, the need to deal with immigration from and involvement with these countries would be no different.

It's so amazing how people are manipulated by media, Trump supporters are the same. He's like the Obama making all the awesome promises, being kind of an outsider or fresh blood, but if he fills his administration with neocons it'll literally be no different than Hillary's administration except at least with Trump you're not being served with an open legacy of lies, corruption and satanic pedophilia.

There must be some kind of power shift or struggle within the elites themselves, maybe they realized not all Americans are as gullable and going to accept and enjoy being figuratively raped and enslaved under the international totalitarian socialist system setup by the corportations in the US and EU, so they threw up Trump as a pascifier to continue the rape and enslavement under the guise of MAGA. Give it a few more generations who believe race and gender is a social construct and monogamous pro family relationships are sexist, self reliance and independence are bigotry, criticizing the global monetary system and central banks is antisemitism, then of course wanting to maintain your own neighborhood and traditional values is racist.

Then again, if Bernie was for real I bet he'd do a decent job too. But really, all this election stuff in US and EU is just a distraction to keep you from doing this and really going after the people responsible for much of what people negatively experience daily:

I think trump will turn out OK. He has been quite reasonable so far and is not a career politician. This guy doesn't owe lobbyists jack shit and it's the best thing honest americans could hope for.

Protesting against the election is particularly stupid and denotes what sort of people these so-called "liberals" are, just a sad bunch of fascists who don't realize what it is they have become. You've got a guy obsessed with being seen as a winner about to access power and you don't see this as an opportunity? He didn't get the popular vote at the beginning of his term so he'll want it by the end of it. He has the money, the bitches, says and does whatever he wants... what do you think he wants now?

Convictions are more dangerous foes of truth than lies.
