Google hangouts is probably a better bet than Skype. We used it for Saturday Hangouts and worked beautifully. I need to do that this weekend lol

Having my own channel and experience editing I'd offer my help as well, but looks like plenty of capable people came before me so I think you have your answer in terms of getting plenty of support!

There are Skype group chats we could use. You cannot use video (for some reason that only works on a 1 on 1 call), but you can have several people al talking on the one Skype call; how many at maximum I don't know. That could be used for audio sermons if enough people can join.

Audio or video sermons would be brilliant, I feel if I could change one thing about the sermons, it would be to put more interaction in there; an audio or video sermon could do that!

Edit: You can have up to 25 on a Skype audio chat.

Kit said the same thing. I will have to check that out! Never used it before.

As apart of my business I have a paid version of skype(NOT to be confused with skype for business), this allows video conferencing up to 9 people via skype, so long as my account is somewhere on that call it applies to everyone even if everyone in the group doesn't have it other then me.

I pay for it because I use the skype phone number as my business phone number, which I can forward it appropriately after that, and or answer the line straight from my computer if I'm at my computer so there is a way if its more convenient to do group skype calls.

It may not be good for just letting everyone join and watch like google hangout is designed for, but if you were just going to screen record a group teaching like 3 or 4 people discussing a topic for example, for the sake of throwing it on you tube or vimeo or somewhere and hosting it for students and things it could work just as well.

Buth as others have said, google hangout is designed for that, skype just may be easier for some members to get on with as skype has more people on it then google hangout/google plus.

A couple months back, I'd gotten notification from Skype that they were opening up group calls to non-premium members (I figure as a competitive move with Google's Hangouts).

However, with that said, Hangouts has shown to be more reliable more times than not and comes with an add-ons system for the host to make it more presentable and organised, all for free.

Jack, I just wanted to say that this is a glorious idea!

As someone who sadly misses most sermons due to my timezone, I'd love to see video versions, as I feel it's way more personal and would help put a face to the names here. Not to mention, you can get a lot more with video / audio than text when it comes to emotions and tone.
