They had us write up five things we are.

Part 2.
1. I am an engineer, but I don't know how to fix cars. (for people who may argue that this isn't a stereotype of engineers, if you ask the average grade 5 student what an engineer does, the answer is almost always "he fixes cars".)
2. I am a graduate student, but I don't eat instant ramen every day.
3. I am a piano teacher, but I am terrible at remembering music history. Styles of composers, fine, but who composed that particular piece? That's what the internet is for!
4. I am a gamer, but I've never played Catan (I know...)
5. I am Canadian, but I only watch hockey during the olympics or the IIHF World Junior Championships.

I am a
1. Father, but I don't live with my kids all the time. I feel that I'm actually a better father because of this as when I do have my kids, I appreciate them more, plus I have time inbetween to rest up, to do the other parts of my life and to therefore be more attentive and involved when they are around. But I do miss them all the time they're away.
2. Software tester, but I'm not from a technical background, nor am I a shrinking violet - unlike many in my profession. I'm passionate about what I do and always pushing my whole team forward.
3. Knight of this Temple, but that doesn't mean I agree with everything here, the approach many take or the opinions of the majority in all/most instances. I am working hard to be the best Knight I can be, making the same mistakes as anyone, and trying to learn from both successes and failures.
4. Poet, but I don't share my poetry these days. The best stuff I've written is too personal to put out and most of the time the stuff I "publish" is sent out just to stop myself from tweaking and fiddling with it anymore.
5. Traveller, but I'm not rich by a long shot. I travel in the cheapest seats, look out for the best deals, sleep on couches and in spare rooms, and when I get there eat and travel around like the locals. As such I can afford 5 or 6 international trips a year, even on a fairly modest income.

Ooo! How fun!

1. A geek, but NOT socially inept basement-dweller or just doing it to get attention from boys
2. A Jedi, but NOT an obsessive Star Wars fangirl who thinks she can move things with her mind
3. a cosplayer, but NOT an elitist who sneers at store-bought or crudely-made costumes
4. a gamer, but NOT a "fake gamer girl" (though, I AM a dirty console peasant, lol)
5. a burlesque dancer, but NOT a "slut"

2. Buddhist, but not a pacifist
3. Introverted, but not lacking confidence (perhaps its a focus thing)
4. Jedi, but I don't have a robe (lol, couldn't resist sorry)
5. Aerospace enthusiast, but never had a flying license

I might have to ask someone else to list 5 things to get a better idea.

This took me quite a bit of thought as I tend to not think of myself much...

1. A dreamer, but I don't live with my head in the clouds
2. An animal lover, but i'm not vegan and I hunt (not for sport)
3. A dark personality, but not sullen, depressed, suicidal, or in any way miserable
4. A designer, but not one of those "sensitive artist types"
5. An introvert, but not socially inept

This is a great idea!

I AM.....

1) A Father, I love my children with all that I am but I am scared of letting them down and not being a good father.

2) A Journeyman Wireman (Electrician)...... I take pride in my craft and think I do a good job but I know that I am not the best in my crew and I learn new things everyday

3) A Southerner...... Born and raised in Tennessee in the US. But my heart is in Alaska. Love love love that state.

4) An introvert....... But I tend to try to be the funny guy in the crowd.

5) A traveler...... Well a wanna be traveler. But I am scared to death to fly!

I am:

1. An attorney, but I'm neither rich nor a shark. I'm actually a pretty low-conflict person most of the time.

2. A father, but I'm not the disciplinarian in the house. ("Oh man, try not to think what's gonna happen when Mom hears about this" is more powerful than any punishment I could devise.)

3. A bassist, but I actually studied music and didn't just pick it up because it was the easiest instrument to learn.

4. A political liberal, but I don't believe government has a role in solving *every* social or economic problem.

5. A Jedi, but I really only like two of the movies (well, three now), and I haven't watched the spinoff cartoons or read many of the novels. I'm not much of a Star Wars fan.
